Hands down, 2016 is a monumental year for us at AccessNow.
We are counting our wins this season and have much to be thankful for.

AccessNow was named Best Product for Social Good from Azure Magazine, was chosen for a cash prize at the Social Venture Pitch Competition and collaborated with the federal government in building an Accessible Canada. We won six major awards including the David C. Onley leadership in Accessibility award, the Startup Canada National Resilient Entrepreneur of the Year award, and the City of Toronto Access award.

We launched our mobile app for iOS, and crowdsourced accessibility information of over 10,000 locations in 30 countries and counting.

AccessNow became a Next36 backed venture and joined the Centre for Social Innovation as Agents of Change. We contributed to 14 conferences and our Founder and CEO, Maayan Ziv, spoke at over 35 events on issues of accessibility, advocacy, and the power of community.

We built a strong team of passionate, talented individuals, and grew our international community of mappers into the thousands. We finished the year with hundreds of media mentions, and a viral video feature with VICE that is climbing into the millions.
